The Conference on Information and Knowledge Management (CIKM) provides an international forum for presentation and discussion of research on information and knowledge management, as well as recent advances on data and knowledge bases. The purpose of the conference is to identify challenging problems facing the development of future knowledge and information systems, and to shape future directions of research by soliciting and reviewing high quality, applied and theoretical research findings. An important part of the conference is the Workshops program which focuses on timely research challenges and initiatives.

CIKM has a strong tradition of workshops devoted to emerging areas of database management, IR, and related fields. Workshops vary from year to year.

CIKM 2023 was held in Birmingham, UK.

CIKM 2024 will be held in Boise, Idaho, USA.

CIKM 2025 will be held in South Korea.

Inquries about hosting CIKM 2025 and beyond are welcome. Would-be organizers are urged to read our advice on hosting CIKM before contacting the CIKM Steering Committee Chair, Prof. Alistair Moffat.

We have instituted a Test of Time Award!

Student Travel Support

One of the goals of CIKM is to help young people become part of the CIKM community by providing funds to support student travel, especially when those students are the authors of accepted papers. The details on applying for travel funds vary from year to year, so interested students (or their advisors) are free to look at the conference web sites and/or consult with the conference organizers.
